Data Protection Policy
No user data is collected besides IP access logs that are stored by Apache Server software. These access logs are deleted automatically by the server software after 14 days.
Data sets are provided according to their public license or prior individual agreements. Tools may include publicly available software licenses (namely plotly.js and cytoscape.js). Source documents may contain personal information, which may also occur in the corresponding text passages. Aggregated metadata may contain personal information, for example through authorship and Named Entity Recognition (NER). The content of the text- and metadata is the responsibility of the source document provider.
Available authorship and licensing information are provided at text passage (URN) and text corpus level through the request function plain/credits.php.
If you use this service, make sure that you do not violate the license of the individual data set or text passage. Responsibility for assessing the licensing requirements of a specific use case lies with the respective user.
Donation Button
The Open Access Marketplace offers a donation button that uses Paypal.com. The button image is stored locally and not requested from Paypal when the website loads.
Donations are not linked to any specific service or product and individual donations do not influence any process or availability. Nothing is restricted by any kind of paywall. Donations may influence the general scope and usefulness of the services with no regard to whether or not the individual user offered a donation. Implemented services based on donated money may disappear. For example, a server for direct downloads instead of redirects to Zenodo may be rented as long as it can be financed through donations and disappear if that is not the case. They can also be used to buy me a coffee or ice cream.
